COVID-19: The Highs & Lows for the Insurance Industry - 10/29/2020

The COVID-19 crisis continues to have a significant impact on individuals, society, business and the wider economy across the globe. The insurance industry has not escaped its impact but insurers have responded quickly to the crisis. As the broader economy recovers and responds to the pandemic, insurers will face a number of challenges but also see many new opportunities in the medium to long term.

The objective of this course is to educate the attendant on key impacts and actions being taken across the insurance industry in response to the COVID-19 crisis.  We will discuss the practical and ethical aspects of evaluating, defending and litigating insurance coverage and bad faith claims. The presentation will provide an update on the current status of the law, emerging trends in the law, legal strategies, and potential considerations and solutions.  The presentations will include a broad spectrum of topics addressing a variety of insurance related topics.
