Presenters: R. Brent Cooper & Katie McClelland

Join us on Thursday, June 17, 2010 for a discussion on the current state of recovery of punitive damages under Texas law. The speakers will examine the seven thresholds that have been erected by the Legislature and Supreme Court that must be crossed before recovery may be allowed. In many instances, judges or attorneys overlook and neglect one or more of these thresholds when addressing a case. The speakers will address those often overlooked defenses to punitive damages and how to employ them to the advantage of the defendant in a punitive damages case.
